FOOTBALL Stuckstill chest thumping media tour screeches to a halt

I almost asked this on the Twitter thread.

How soon do you all think facilities improvements will make an impact in recruiting? When will we see it on the field? Will just having ground broken and construction happening help or will the finished product need to exist?
I guess my question would be, when MT is done with facilities improvement, are we going to be caught up to our most advanced pier in that regard or will the improvements be viewed as leap frogging all our piers? I'm betting we will still be viewed as a decade behind, continually playing catch up...

I drove through UAB’s campus this weekend and we are easily behind even after phase 1.

UAB is a bit of a different beast as their stadium is a joint effort with the city, kind of like Liberty Bowl. But their operations center looks amazing. Their "IPF" is just a covered field beside it which we EASILY could've done years ago for very little. Then framed it in as the money came. That is 100% on our admin.

From what I've see we will be top third of current CUSA teams when all phases are done.

#BuildBlue absolutely needs to be a campaign that never ends. We can't rest once the planned 4 phases are complete.

CRS with his occasional fluke P5 wins is like the saying about the broken clock being right twice a day. I anticipated last Friday's results based off of history so I didn't even bother getting out of work early and getting a ticket.

I think most of y’all know my thoughts on Stock as HC so it’s useless to beat a dead horse, revive it, and kill it again.

But there are some things that will affect MT’s ability to attract the next HC (facilities and fan support). Those will need to improve if you want to attract a Kendall Briles and not another Andy MAC
McPhee could have a choice between the two and would still choose Andy Mac.

If the coaches, former players, & administration are ok with a 17 year football program winning 50 percent of its games, they should certainly be fine with a stadium averaging 50 percent capacity
Just a quick shout of thanks to you our fellow posters. The above represented 1st & probably last double digit "Liked" post & acknowledgement. Also, MT01 thanks for the follow up mic drop. Never ever expected that one! Hahaha

Well the guys at 104.5 in this afternoon segment (Blaine Bishop and Mickey Ryan) just had a good laugh at Stock’s expense for running his mouth about Miami upset and and then losing at home to UTSA on Byard Night. 😂😂

Exactly why we can't gain any traction in yhe Nashville market with the general public. When the media pays attention, we lay an egg.

The Channel 4 guy was the only one to ask Stock a question in the weekly presser about the elephant in the room (losing the first conference matchup). 😂😂

Of course, Sam and Chip still stuck to the homer script. LOL!

Who cares? He is who he is. He’s a nice guy- great. A four point underdog. Not another 20 pointer. Win a game. Go out and beat the conf favorite and win the conference. Same story 15-16 years…nobody cares about his “excuses.”

I like how the only people who defends him are players. Never seen a fan who actually carries water for him.

Look at the athletic budgets guys.

Football Spending
Looks like Western getting a better bang for the buck. Less money and better results.
