A top notch collegiate player (current players always love that), experienced in player development, experienced in coaching, and has ties to perhaps the greatest recruiting pipeline state in the country. What's not to love!

Uh...... This is a hell of a hire! Dude just won the Grey cup in the CFL and has tons of Florida ties. I'd say he is actually an upgrade over Burns. Burns is a great newcomer but this guy has a pedigree and is also a players' coach who knows what it takes to be a breakout player. He's got rings too. Love it. Stock has been on fire this month. Now gotta get a solid OL coach.

NCAA rules do not allow coaches to Tweet or post on Facebook walls of prospects. They can DM and IM, but the NCAA still regulates that to some extent

I think it would depend on what their relationship is. I am sure he has a lot of ties that aren't related to recruiting.

If McCorvey has a tie to the player that dates the player is deemed a prospect (I can't remember if it is 7th or 9th grade for football), then McCorvey may be in the clear.

Nope. It was likely meant to be a DM. He'll get a slap on the wrist and a friendly reminder from the NCAA to not do it, but there won't be sanctions
