State Says Bakers Should Pay $135,000 for Refusing to Bake Cake for Same-Sex Wedding

BBJ, this is the reason I have always supported states rights (see story below). If the bakers were Muslim, the state of Oregon would not have fined them because they are a protected class. But since the bakers were Christian they were severely punished. It's bad enough that progressive socialists states like Oregon make decisions like this but atheist/socialists should not force this on the rest of America.

Christian Baker’s GoFundMe Page Shut Down for Being “Illegal”

Oregon based and Christian-owned bakery, Sweet Cakes By Melissa, was sued by a tolerant, lesbian couple after the bakery refused- on religious objections, to provide service for the couple’s gay wedding. That refusal landed the bakery in court, where an administrative law judge for the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries ordered the bakery owners- Aaron and Melissa Klein- to pay the defendants Rachel Bowman-Cryer and her wife, Laurel Bowman-Cryer, $135,000.

Because of the hate-filled backlash, the bakery was forced to close in 2013 after photographers and florists severed ties with the company. The couple currently runs their business out of their home.

Ah, tolerance.
