What’s the deal with all the spam on this site suddenly?

AI bots I guess. I've got a few other boards thst it is happening to as well. Not to mention in the past week I've easily blocked a dozen or more on Twitter X that followed me. All women profile pics with one random post, zero followers, yet following 6k people.

Sadly people fall for that stuff all the time. Seeing the Spectrum cable posts, AI tried to pose as Spectrum by phone and fool my 91yr old grandmother last week. Thankfully my dad was there. He said zero doubt it was AI based on responses. Voice with zero inflections. Cancelling her phone service and needed info for a new plan. He called Spectrum after and they told him no changes are happening and she wasn't the first one it has happened to.

It's just gonna get worse.
