Coach Dean Hayes - A Lasting Legacy at Home and Abroad Exhibit10:00 am – 6:00 pm (Library Hours) – James E. Walker Library
Very few people on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University have been as instrumental to the growth of the institution like track and field head coach Dean Hayes. Now in his 54th season, Hayes' legacy as well as that of the Blue Raider track program is being featured in the exhibit A Lasting Legacy at Home and Abroad on the first floor of MTSU's James E. Walker Library. The exhibit is the first of a partnership between the library, the Middle Tennessee Athletics, the Blue Raider Hall of Fame and Albert Gore Research Center, and it features the history of Blue Raider track, beginning with integration in 1965 and continuing into a tradition of excellence that now includes 53 championships and a strong Olympic legacy. Eat your fill and vote for the best chicken wings around while supporting great causes at Kappa Delta’s 16th annual Wing Fling. Local restaurants and student group entries compete for prizes with all proceeds go to The Family Center of Rutherford County and to Prevent Child Abuse America.
