In limited mins this past season, Walters was impressive. Not only does he have good size for a center, he has some good skills. I suspect he will emerge as a force this season.
Gamble is the real variable. He has the physical tools. Whether it's due to lack of available mins for PT or his lack of development, it remains to be unclear. With him now being a JR going on 3 years in Kermit's system combined with his size and athleticism, the opportunity and potential are there for a breakout season. He'll be needed as he is next man up. Hopefully the opportunity for some solid mins of PT will allow him to gain confidence and realize the potential he seems to possess but has not yet realized.
There are plenty of new and really talented players frontcourt players that should have a big opportunity to step up and takeover the vacated mins. As usual with Kermit, especially to start the season, the players giving their all on defense will be the players to get the first shot at the mins in the open frontcourt positions.
