NCAA schools falling short on cash-for-grades pay
With colleges allowed to pay each of their athletes up to $5,980 per year as a reward for academic performance, only 22 of 130 FBS-level schools have plans in place to do so, according to information gathered by ESPN.

In the rule change above, appears most schools dragging their feet on implementation. Notable how many schools, with a seemingly endless supply of cash, don’t have a plan. Will be yet another way for schools to try and gain a competitive advantage.
I thought I was fairly current on what’s going on in college athletics, but clearly missed this over the past 18 months.
