Speaking of next year's MT star's of the future. Lady Raiders signed Blair Baugus just broke the Wayne County scoring record with her 2,227th career point. Baugus is averaging right at 22 ppg along with 9.2 rpg.
Her most recent game against Mars Hill Blair scored 36 points in Wayne County's victory. She shot 78% from the field & was 8/8 from the free throw line.
MT is going to have some young offensive weapons next year. Can't wait to see them in action.

Back to Blair again. She just went off last night!!! From a Facebook post:

Unbelievable! A day after being named one of three Tennessee Class A Miss Basketball finalists for the third consecutive year, WCHS Lady Cat Senior Blair Baugus broke her previous career-high of 38 points with a Wayne County Lady Cat 5-on-5 single game scoring record of 48 points tonight at Collinwood. 48 points is also believed to be the school record for boys as well. In addition to shooting 17-27 from the field and 12-15 from the free throw line, she showed her heart by wiping the glass for 16 rebounds (11 offensive) in the Lady Cats' 80-59 victory over rival Collinwood. Congratulations, Blair, on this amazing accomplishment!
