UNIVERSITY NEWS MTSU Selling King Air 200

For those that don’t know MT is currently selling it King Air 200 that we’ve had since 2007. This aircraft is used for charter services, our golf and tennis teams use it as do coaches from time to time. Hopefully being replaced with something newer and faster that projects our overall growth as a university. Other schools have very similar aircraft that projects power far from the actual university grounds.

I’ve heard they are getting a King Air 350

Would be a nice upgrade if true. Was hoping the university was searching for a Citation CJ or a Embraer Phenom. But a King Air 350 is the Rolls Royce of turboprops.

The person who told me is pretty reliable so I’d say chances are very likely it is a B350. Is the runway at MBT long enough for a jet?

Ah - so the citation cj3 that they flew Nick in on was not a MT plane?

Didn't they land the donated 727 on that strip?

I believe that plane belongs to a donor who happens to be a big fan of the basketball program.

Yes but it was stripped to minimize weight, had minimum fuel, and flown by FedExs best pilots. Also it’s never leaving unless the runway is lengthened by thousands of feet
