Conference opener and it's like the team have a fire lit under their butts. They're playing with an energy I haven't seen many times yet this year. I wish we had this sort of intensity in our important OOC games but the past is past at this point.

Shot the ball extremely poorly yet still won by 31. Defense was great. Definitely need to keep working the offense. I loved seeing the bench actually being PLAYED in this one! Hope Jada Harrison is okay.

Before going ballistic that all of a sudden CRI has had an epiphany and decided to start playing his bench, consider this: 3 starters fouled out, and a 4th starter had 4 fouls. CRI had no choice but to play his bench. The number of fouls, considering the margin of victory, is concerning. My best guess, absent foul trouble, we would have seen the usual 6 ladies.

I think there’s something to be said for it though. Even though foul trouble made this necessary, in past years, he’d keep players in until they fouled out and then deal with the crisis at that point

I appreciate everything Rick has done for the Lady Raiders, but he has gone as far as he can. You cannot teach an old dog new tricks.

I wonder what will happen to the program after he retires. The parasites sucking the life out of this university have consistently demonstrated that mediocrity and obscurity are the desired outcomes for the school.

The right answer is Matt becomes HC and gets full control of substitution, bench use, etc. but we'll see if that happens.

I've been watching Matt's coaching and I'm not sold he should be HC. He wasn't successful at Ole Miss, where he had support, money and better recruitment tools.
