BASKETBALL Middle Tennessee (4-1) vs South Florida (3-2) (Myrtle Beach Invitational)(ESPN2), 1PM, Friday, 11/22/2024

my god I cannot stand Cam Weston sometimes. turnover machine then pathetic lazy defense on the other end.

Counter's injury is going to cost us this game because Weston has to play now
I said this last year. Weston is a turnover machine and not a reliable scorer.

I'll never understand how this shit happens when it's the most predictable F'ing thing in sports that you see happen every day. How do you let them back in like that when you know they are desperate and will be playing at 110%

we are definitely losing this game and probably by double digits. Unless we get another miracle barrage of 3's there is no way we can stay ahead

You have to get Weston out. I don't care if a walk-on is next man up. He's literally playing for USF right now

We are in meltdown mode. Where do you go when you need a bucket?

I'll tell you where you don't go. Nick McDevitt. Zero ability to call timely time outs and help his team with good plays and team substitutions (How on earth do you leave Weston in the game that long? The second he turns it over and gives his man a free open 3 on the other end HE IS DONE FOR THE GAME GTFO KID)

I cannot stand this coaching staff. I will never understand how they allow Weston to play in the fashion that he does (wreckless, careless, selfish, trash, street ball hero ball GARBAGE).

Kermit Davis' head would have literally EXPLODED if Weston played like that under him. He most certainly would have never been allowed to check back into a game until he played like a responsible team player (Ball protection, actual defense on the other end)

Look how much better this team looks with Weston out and a supposed inferior Jacob Johnson taking his place.....

I'll take Jacob Johnson every day of the week over Weston and twice on Sundays. At least he plays defense and doesn't give up extremely untimely turnovers

Counter sitting normally on the sidelines......Maybe there's some hope there. Maybe just a sprain ?

Anyone else sick of the announcers constantly talking about what previous school players played at?
I said that 2 years ago. At some point it will be “PG transfer from …. Passes to the other transfer from ….. then dumps it in to the big transfer from …. And it is blocked by the transfer from….”

Just par for the course. They do it in every game you watch these days unfortunately.

And yes, it is very annoying. Maybe one day they will get a hold on these transfer shenanigans so it's not musical chairs every off season.

Mostafa has literally changed the direction of our program. Outstanding piece of the puzzle. Great win today, not “hopeless” after all, was it?

It was with Weston in the game. USF's run and momentum instantly vanished when Johnson replaced him. Not sure what took McDevitt so long to get him out....

Happy to see the Raiders play with a lead against a good team. It got scary for sure but South Florida getting 14 FTs in the first 8 minutes helped tremendously. Couldn’t play defense for about a 6 minute span without fouling.

Weston was a liability just trying to do too much with 2 quick turnovers and not playing defense on the backend. McDevitt proceeded to sit him for the next 10 minutes and rolled JP back over to PG. I would’ve loved to see us create more shots for JP like we did in the first, but with Counter out, there isn’t another good ball handler.

They did exactly what I thought they needed to in that first half — shoot the 3 and not turn the ball over. They did the opposite in the second but kudos for them for never giving that lead up. That speaks volume to the maturity of this group.
