Lady Raiders look to continue unbeaten streak at home against a tough Aggies team. MT women had to come from behind in Las Cruces before winning in OT 66-59 last month.
Ladies only have 2 games left at home this week before tourney time in Huntsville. Expecting good weather. Would be great to finish up with a couple of strong crowds.
Let's get out in big numbers & show support for this fine team!

I really hope the team this year has very big crowds for these last two home games. They certainly have earned it this year with their play and their community presence off the court.

I agree, this team deserves a big crowd. It's alumni weekend so that should help. Unfortunately, I've heard from some former Lady Raiders who won't be able to attend the 50 year celebration because they live out of town and just received invitations last week. Ebony Rowe is one of these who expressed a desire to be there, but living our west, can't make plans with a weeks notice. Not sure who is responsible for this but a "save the date" should have been sent months ago.

Good victory, 63-41. Excellent defensive effort all game tonight. Better offensive flow in 2nd half. Rough night from charity stripe, only 16-29. Would have won by 30 if a little better from free throw line, but all in all a very good 2nd half to pull away comfortably.

We still struggle offensively and seems to have not really improved as the season has progressed. Defensively we are really good. While I was watching from the stands last night I was thinking about a total rebuild next year. It would have been nice to give some other players some meaningful minutes this year rather than a 90 second end of game experience. But it is just the blueprint for CRI. We just leave talented players on the bench as spectators.

Your comment about our team's offense holds a lot of truth. As shown to be the case 3 good offensive players on a superior defensive team can win comfortably against most mid-major competition.
However, when going up against top 20 teams like K State, Tennessee, & Iowa St. you need more than Boldyreva, Scott, & Gregory to shoulder the burden offensively. Last year we had those same 3 weapons plus Savannah Wheeler. Unfortunately that 4th key scorer is missing this year.
To compete against the nation's best you need 4-5 of your starters capable of scoring 15-20 points on any given night. I believe with strong fan support we can win it all in Huntsville again, but due to lack of offensive fire power I'm reticent about our chances in the NCAA tourney this year.

Agreed. Monson should have been put in with 2 1/2 minutes left in the game when another sub or 2 entered. Gregory had the crap beat out of her last night and could have used a brief rest. What is the point in brining anyone in for the last 40 seconds?
