One of our best road performances today. Nice floor management from Blakely. We are so much better when she plays in control, & with smart shot selection. The other 4 starters also played well, especially Gregory & Scott. Also good to see some freedom with our substitutions.
Believe we got the WKU loss out of our system. In retrospect it may have been something that reignited our focus!

Looking at remaining schedule ladies have 9 more regular season games to close out the year. How strong do we feel about finishing undefeated rest of the way? Last 2 at Liberty & FIU should be the most difficult. Not to get too far ahead, but to finish with a 25-6 campaign would still make for a solid year.

No matter how badly we beat Liberty in the first game, they are a quality team and will give us a hard time at their place even if they don't get back any players that were injured earlier. FIU gave us a hard time at home until the last quarter, so they will give us a game at home. Obviously it will depend on whether or not we can start out with offense or not. We always play good defense and can ratchet it up to elite when pushed.

So obviously I don't feel strong about undefeated the rest of the way, but I hope so.

25-6 (or anything close) is definitely a good season. Myself personally, I've been disappointed it hasn't been better. That's largely due to being spoiled and my own expectations. After last year, I really felt this team could build on that and elevate to the next level. Thusfar, at least, that hasn't happened.

For the most part we have won the games we expected to already win and have not won the games we needed to take that next step. Right now, even winning the conference regular season crown is in jeopard. Long way to go, but despite our home win against them, Liberty sits in the drivers seat.

Defensively, this is one of our best teams. Offensively, it's one of our worst. If a couple of our players can just hit a portion of shots tossed up within five feet of the basket it would be a 10+ point boost.

This is a good team. I am proud of what they are doing and have done thufar. There has been no greater model of success than what the Lady Raider program has set for the university. And really, that even extends beyond the Insell era. Inman, Davis, Bivens and Smith all had successful programs. I just wanted this particular team to be better. Still time to do it. Only time will tell.
