MT flies to FIU for Thursday C-USA battle

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders need a win after losing six of their last nine games. On the season, MTSU is averaging 63.8 points on 41.7 percent shooting and is allowing 63.2 points on 43.7 percent shooting. Reggie Upshaw Jr. is averaging 10.4 points and 6.7 rebounds while Jacquez Rozier is averaging 7.4 points and 5.2 rebounds. Perrin Buford is grabbing 3.2 rebounds and Jaqawn Raymond is dishing 2.1 assists. The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders have four players averaging at least seven points, and they're shooting 70.5 percent from the line and 35.7 percent from deep. Defensively, MTSU is allowing 35.8 percent shooting from deep and has given up 66 or less points in four of its last eight games.



The FIU Golden Panthers need a win after losing four of their last six games. On the season, Florida International is averaging 61.7 points on 43.7 percent shooting and is allowing 66.9 points on 41.5 percent shooting. Dennis Mavin is averaging 17.2 points and 2.9 assists while Adrian Diaz is averaging 13 points and 6.8 rebounds. Defensively, FIU is allowing 33 percent shooting from deep and has given up 70 or more points in five of its last six games.

Tough finish, I listened to the last 10 minutes. 7 out of last 10 are losses. Maybe we can surprise some folks in the tourney.
 
I'm still hoping for a run in the tournament next week in B'ham. We're so close but gotta have more consistency from at least a few of the players. You just don't know what you're going to get from any of them.

Looked this morning and we're tied with two other teams for 6th and three other teams are one game back. (interesting that four teams are tied for 2nd making Saturday's games important for those teams - one will have to play on Wed.) Based on a cursory look we'll be seeded anywhere between 6th and 11th depending upon results Sat. - and to be honest I don't think seeding will matter much for MT in the first round - It depends on how we play more than who the opponent is.
