The Monroe NewsStar, excerpt:

...Coming off its worst loss of the 2014-15 season, Louisiana Tech will look to rebound on Saturday night at 7 p.m. when they play at Middle Tennessee in the Murphy Center.

Tech (17-6, 8-2 C-USA) will need to rebound, literally and figuratively, after coming off a 20-point defeat which tied for the second worse lost in the Michael White era.

The Bulldogs were heavily outrebounded, 49-34, by the Blazers on Thursday. Despite the lopsided stat, they still pulled to within two, 54-52, with 13 minutes left in the game, but that was as close as the 'Dogs would get....

La. Tech visits Middle Tennessee

72-63 is the final. Raiders had their fair share of chances to get back in this one but just didn't have enough to get it done. Upshaw had a career high and Tarrance played well on the second half but nobody else really came to play in this one..

I had a glimmer of hope when the team cut the lead to five or six, but latech quickly put that to an end.

We simply lack sufficient offensive talent to be successful. No one on the team can be counted on in a given night to score even 13-14 points. Unless we are bringing in a scorer next season, we have to hope a freshman or two will make huge strides during the off season and become a consistent scorer. Hard to win with no one scoring in double figures. I felt the effort was there tonight but the better players were on the other team.

La Tech is good but we missed so many layups tonight. Layups! I counted 9 makeable layups. 4 of them were from Upshaw. Still passing the ball without discipline. Fix this and we win out. Bottom line is we need to finish around the rim.
