My memory kept nudging me regarding a vague recollection of an issue between Mathers and Vanderbilt during the I-Train's recruiting process during high school at Blackman. Dug and found this Tom Kreager article about the honesty of Vanderbilt and James Franklin during the recruiting process...

I remember when all of this went down. Knowing I'tavius and his dad personally, I can tell you they arent the type of people to start drama. Also, seeing how James Franklin's tenure ended at Vandy, I have a feeling he was probably being very shady and not forthcoming with I'tavius.

I remember this in the news. Yet another reason I have never liked Vanderbilt nor Franklin. Plus it's sweet to see him being so mediocre at Penn State (Go Pitt this Saturday!)
