After I read this part my thought was just about every team has an excellent off season. It's the season where we choose to suck."...we know we have areas where we must improve. We certainly are not perfect and fully expect football and men’s basketball to have much better seasons than we did this past year. Both programs have had excellent off seasons and we look forward to much better results in 2021-22. Additionally, we need to finish our fundraising and funding for our proposed Student-Athlete Performance Center and our outdoor tennis courts. I am optimistic these goals can be reached in the fall and we can begin the serious design phase on both projects....."

Fans are not sure what's going on other than our admin is inept.I'm not sure fans knew they were fundraising for the Performance Center

This made me chuckle.😂😂Going to take more than an email and artist's rendering of the proposed facilities to get a dollar from me.
Complete disconnect between Athletic Dept and fans. The cringe worthy video of Stock trying to hand out t-shirts at the KUC is the perfect snapshot of where we are right now. Another example is the burned bridge between the admin and the most recognizable name in the program's history.
Season ticket sales are nonexistent, but yeah, we can raise funds for a multi-million dollar facility. What a joke.
Can you imagine how different that video would look at Bama, Clemson or even with Bill Clark at UAB?Going to take more than an email and artist's rendering of the proposed facilities to get a dollar from me.

I’ve probably been deleted from their database long ago since McCluney got mad at me but has anyone still getting emails from BRAA seen anything composed by the current BRAA Senior Assoc. AD for External Affairs and Athletics Development??????Fans are not sure what's going on other than our admin is inept.
Crickets. Guess if you don't have anything good to report then don't communicate at all.I’ve probably been deleted from their database long ago since McCluney got mad at me but has anyone still getting emails from BRAA seen anything composed by the current BRAA Senior Assoc. Anything at all???
And that's my biggest gripe during this whole mess.Going to take more than an email and artist's rendering of the proposed facilities to get a dollar from me.

Start reading at the 5th paragraph. The folks who work in college athletic departments must sit around all day polishing their resumes for their next gig. It’s unbelievable what some will take credit for.Where is the 30 million? and the money from the centennial campaign? 30 million is more than enough to build thee athletic center operations building.
Wow that's a lot of word salad for saying success has been limited.Start reading at the 5th paragraph. The folks who work in college athletic departments must sit around all day polishing their resumes for their next gig. It’s unbelievable what some will take credit for.

That is hilarious.Well, I think I figured out where I stand in the alumni donor database. Got a direct mail piece today from the MTSU Development Office with directions for how to include them in my will.

Which begs the question. If I’ve suspended my giving while alive, why would I give them my kids’ and grandkids’ inheritance when I’m dead??? 😂😂

It appears there has been a significant amount of attention on tennis facilities for the last several years. The good taxpayers of Rutherford County contributed greatly to the Adams Indoor Tennis Facility and it is maintained by the City of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Dept. How much of the $6 million price tag touted by the former BRAA Director was actually funded by alumni donations will probably never be made public. Kinda odd that it wasn’t built on campus either.Wow that's a lot of word salad for saying success has been limited.
Any “sports journalist” with a brain and the desire to actually do some investigative reporting can FOIA the numbers during the years after 2014-15 FYE and connect the dots.I'm not sure fans knew they were fundraising for the Performance Center
Sad part about DBU, Benefield who hit the Grand Slam is a Murfreesboro native, that played at Seigel.I have 5 season football tickets through an open air box. I have 5 season tickets to basketball. I never received this email. I also donate in one of the top three levels. I got the email from one of the guys I tailgate with. The people running athletics are a total Joke. Dallas Baptist just made a super regional in Baseball and has better baseball facilities than MT. It’s time to clean house now. I have had it with these people and the fact that we should just pay Bea cause we won at track, golf, tennis etc. ADCM thinks that participation trophies in the post season count in the major sports. This is garbage!
If that was a one-off, I would not think anything about it. But the pattern is troubling.Sad part about DBU, Benefield who hit the Grand Slam is a Murfreesboro native, that played at Seigel.
We (GoMiddle) did a few years ago. I'm away from the information, but I don't recall seeing any information about the Sports Performance facility.Any “sports journalist” with a brain and the desire to actually do some investigative reporting can FOIA the numbers during the years after 2014-15 FYE and connect the dots.
Our Athletics “fundraising” has been artificially inflated from annual funds money for years. It’s really sad and unfortunate because of the large and virtually untapped (or currently disengaged) number of alumni in this area. Couple that with multiple mediocre and losing seasons in FB, MBB then here we are.
Anyone who says otherwise is in complete denial.
My comment was directed at certain individuals who make claims of record fundraising and projects they take credit for but had zero input or direct responsibility for actually making it happen. We (GoMiddle) did a few years ago. That said, I wonder if he was referring to the slight remodel to the weight room was completed several years ago
Definitely understand. Just relaying the information we've received from our FOIA requests. My comment was directed at certain individuals who make claims of record fundraising and projects they take credit for but had zero input or direct responsibility for actually making it happen.
With all that money Alabama and Florida will still own them in football for years to come.Meanwhile……..

$500 Million Dollars!!
”With an ultimate goal of $500 million, the My All Campaign's public launch is bolstered by close to $200 million already committed. Notably, roughly $70 million in capital commitments targeted for strategic investments in Neyland Stadium and Anderson Training Center were pledged over the previous three years by a contingent of leadership donors (see listing below)”
Love em or hate em, but…..they’ve fired four Head Football coaches since our guy was hired in 2006. One of them a former Vol with a NC.With all that money Alabama and Florida will still own them in football for years to come.

I used the FreeWill software this week. Every time it came to leaving anything to MT I just let out a laugh and hit the "No thanks" button.Well, I think I figured out where I stand in the alumni donor database.
