After reading today about Mike Norvell’s new FSU contract extension thru 2029 at $8MM per year. He guided FSU thru the 2 years of COVID while running off a host of Taggart’s leftover problems to a 10-win season in Year 3.
It made me remember our Dir. of Football Operations running the “Stock to FSU campaign” in 2019 pitching CRS to his former lettermen buddies. Had he been successful in pulling off that initiative, maybe Mike Norvell is still in Memphis for the Cotton Bowl and a couple of more seasons.
Maybe we’d have a young fireball HC in Murfreesboro who turned the ship around while FSU would have a long term contract problem with a former player who is fine with finishing .500 as long as he gets his players a bowl trip.

FSU was never going anywhere near Stockstill.

We're stuck with him. No one is going to hire him away. He won't leave. The best we an hope for is maybe he thinks he can set this up for Brent and walks away?

The contract language screws us. Too bad we don't have a real hard ass AD who can make things tough even if he can't fire him.
