In another thread I made my feelings known about promoting last night's BB game against VU. Among the promotions I saw was a color ad across the bottom of the front page in yesterday's Tennessean promoting "National True Blue Day!" on April 18th at Reese Smith Jr. field.
Today, Let me repeat that: Bleeping TODAY - April 19th - there is a 1/4th page color ad (wonder what that cost?) on the second page of The Tennessean promoting "National True Blue Day! on April 18th (get that?) at Reese Smith Jr. field. Photo of Upshaw Jr. holding a BkB which implies what exactly since neither honoring the BkB team or having a BB game is mentioned.
I don't know whether to blame this stupidity on:
A) incompetence in Murphy center offices, or
B) Learfield promotions, or
C) The powers that be at Gannett/The Tennessean who could be deliberately sabotaging the MT athletic program.
Regardless, this is beyond sad!!!
