I have to give it to our team and coaches for pushing against the odds and making a run! This is a very young team and has potential. Keeping things in perspective, though, I think we have reached our ceiling under coach Davis! I just never see him as a coach that can lead us in a deep run in the NCAA, as WKU has done in the past! If we are content with CIT and occasionally NIT, then yes we have a great team and a great coach for that! Anything beyond that, we have had 17 years to accomplish it and have yet to win one conferemce tournament! Finally, always a Blue Raider and will support every MT team no matter who is coaching!

Re: Great Run: keeping a perspectice!

Seriously????? The team played well. UAB was just about perfect today and we still stayed in the game. Aside from not winning, how can you pi$$ on anything this team and coaching staff has done the past week. Just dumb. It's perspective, by the way.....thought it was typo, but you spelled it wrong twice.

Perspective is the fact that this team was picked to do absolutely nothing this season. Some said at the beginning of the year they didn't even belong in D-1. This team and coaching staff did a helluva job. UAB could not miss today and we were still in the game until near the end. Ridiculous post Lover.

Re: Great Run: keeping a perspectice!

About what I would expect from a guy who didn't make a single post on here all basketball season and then starts complaining once we lose the conference championship game(!).

Re: Great Run: keeping a perspectice!

There you go: fixed it. A lot of hate here from you guys who are a lot less objective than I am. At least I give credit where it's due when it's due and not just walk along the wave of blind support! Some of you need to have more open-mindedness and accept the other side. Pointing out grammar and linguistic errors is not the center of focus on a sports board. The reason the other boards have not survived is because any voice of criticism against the coaches or athletic dept would be run out. I have not personally insulted any player or coach and have not stopped supporting this team since the day I attended MTSU, so you can choose to have the attitude you would like to have. The way things are going, the only people who will continue to post here would be one homogenous group with the same ideas and loyalties.

Re: Great Run: keeping a perspectice!

I'm a very causal MT basketball fan and a very infrequent poster to the board, but I tend to share the same outlook MTLover has with our men's program. I think it's great the team got to the conference final. While they exceeded expectations, I feel like we have been here before. We get excited when we get close to reaching the dance or make some headway in the NIT, but at the end of the day, we've only reached the ncaa tourney once in recent memory. When compared to the previous program leadership, this is a major improvement: however, I cannot help but think the program is stuck in idle. Just my thoughts.

Lover and Skies,

While you guys may have a point. Its not the time. Lets celebrate the run, give it a few weeks. Then talk about Davis. Its all about timing - one hour after the loss is a bit soon.

My Moma used to say,
"Can't Never Could Do Anything".

If one has a can't do attitude, which is what you seemly always post, then that is what you will get.

I, for one, think KD has done an admorable job while here at MT. He has constantly kept us in a conference hunt and each year he is getting better. Also to note, there is very little DRAMA off the court which also relates back to leadership.

Great Job Coach KD!!!

Great Job Blue Raider Basketball Team!!!!!

Exactly! I am not a Kermit defender at all. Guess I could have elaborated a little bit better, but the timing of this post was awful. Enjoy the moment and respect what this team has done, at least for a little while before the bashing begins.
