That's a sport I'd like to see MT actually sponsor it vs a club team. Being the only one in Tennessee would be huge.

Since this is a club team, is the university allowed to toss in some financial assistance to help with the fundraising? Or any of the club teams for that matter? Like the BRAA?

I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think they are allowed to.
My son plays club baseball at Chattanooga. They have gone to a spring break tourney the last couple of years and the school did provide money for that trip. Parents chipped in as well, but but school did a lot more than I thought they would. With that being said, no trip this season (his senior year) as the trip went "over budget" last year . Surprisingly, they played really good baseball down there the 2 years they went, including 5-0 last year vs teams such as Texas, Oh St, and other much larger schools.
Not 100% sure of the rules, but I tweeted them and said just retweet this and they didn't do it.

I wonder what that would have hurt for the school to RT your post. Unless there is some legality that I am unaware of, I find that disturbing that the school and/or athletic department would simply ignore a simple request to promote members of the student body and their hard work.

I will say the school account reposted the championship after the win yesterday on Facebook.
But i agree, not sure why they can't just retweet it. Good thing is, they got the $25k. I wonder if that covered everything or if they really needed more.
I was a part of a club team at MT and yes, the school did help financially. There are tiers to the clubs and based on the tier you get a certain amount of money. I think (its been 16 years) it was around $1K for a low level officially recognized club. You also have to apply to get the club recognized.
In what form is that “help”? Is it financial aid, to the team, travel? I don’t know a ton about club sports so I’m interested in how they can help.
Again it was 16 years ago but we got reimbursement for our jerseys, tournament travel reimbursements and some gear. Nothing major but for broke college kids it was great.
