• MTSU was the team of the week after sweeping its road trip to NMState and UTEP ... Cam Weston won Player of the Week honors after dropping 30 points in Thursday’s win over NM State ... Essam Mostafa remains the league-leader in double-doubles (12) ... MTSU is set to host Liberty in a battle for the top of the league standings on Thursday
• Kennesaw State made a statement with their upset win over Liberty in Lynchburg on Sunday ... Simeon Cottle and Adrian Wooley led the Owl offense combining for 46 of the team's 85 points ... Kennesaw State currently leads CUSA and ranks 18th nationally in rebound margin as a squad (6.6)
• Jax State dropped a hard-fought contest at Liberty on Thursday but bounced back with a double-overtime win in Miami ... Jao Ituka emerged as the star this week as he scored a season-high 29 points in their win over FIU ... Jaron Pierre Jr. continues to score in bunches as he ranks fourth in the country in scoring with one week to go(21.8)
• The Flames turned in a 1-1 week at home after a win over first-place Jax State, 59-55 ... Liberty dropped their Sunday contest to Kennesaw State that puts them in a tie with MTSU at a half game back of 12-5 Jax State ... the Flames remain eighth nationally in scoring defense (61.7) and first in 3-point percentage defense (27.7)
• LA Tech put on a dominant performance in their win on the road at Sam Houston as AJ Bates dropped 20 points and nine assists in Sean Newman’s absence ... Daniel Batcho ranks second in NCAA in FG%(68.6) as Newman remains in third in assists per game (8.1)
• NM State split a pair of contests at home and grabbed the win over WKU on Senior Day ... the Aggies held the Hilltoppers to just 26.9 %shooting from the field as Peter Filipovity collected a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards
• WKU also went 1-1 on the week with a gritty win against a pesky UTEP squad ... five Toppers finished in double figures led by TyroneMarshall who compiled 16 points and nine boards ... Khristian Lander recorded a double-double in the win (10 pts, 11 reb)
