Fan Map: How the Country Roots for College Footba

Space, I don't think this is anything new. IIRC, and I fer durn sure could be wrong, I remember looking at various zip code maps the last time this was brought up.

Regardless, an interesting concept, and disappointing for MT fans (When we went D-1 in FB looking ahead I would have thought and hoped that by now MT would be in at least 3rd place throughout much of the mid-state - we really haven't made much progress in growing casual fans).

I am just going to say I think this is bull. I know its not scientific but go to any kroger or lowes on a weekend in 37128 or 37129 and its 3 to 1 MT gear being worn compared to any other school.

Ah, the NY Times Map of College Football--- the map that has been the source of many of my terrific headaches for several months. That is the source of where I have been citing "if we can't win the hearts of 37130, where else can we win?" in various posts throughout the year. It's a reminder of how little progress we have made versus P-5 conferences in 19 years
and how little relevance we have despite moving through the Sun Belt and into C-USA on the national stage. Reminds me we are still a one bid league in mens basketball (though we can get the NIT and CIT bids) and the conference's 13-1 team can barely get ranked in top 25 after all bowls are played. Ugh!!
