One thing that I'm sure is being used against us in recruiting, especially by P5 schools, is the lack of impact guys in the pros from this program. Sure Lattimore and Walden are productive, but they're not household names. Kids today don't remember Holcomb, or Don Griffin. This is a battle that a lot of G5 schools wage. Byard not getting even an invite to the combine is proof enough for me.
We need to get some guys who get their names called every Sunday. The more guys we put in the pros the more we can work on building a rep as a program that can get you to the next level.
