I won't repeat my post over at the other site. (Not playing favorites - just over there first)

But the d--n idiots in the C-USA office have both WKU and MT men's and women's teams playing on Thursday (should their men win on Wed.) at overlapping times making it impossible to see both games in their entirely and possibly not even parts of both. And I've gotta think these are two of the biggest fan bases for BOTH M & W teams.

For one, I'm disappointed that my plans to make it to B'ham early Thursday in order to catch both the men and women have changed. A few tickets will not be sold because of this crap - I 'm sure glad I didn't buy ticket booklets - I would be even more POed!

IIRC I never, never in 5 years in Hot Springs had to make a choice of seeing either the M or W play. The Belt has smarter people in charge than C-USA?

And this after the playing the biggest rivalry in the conference only one time? Who are the $#%&^*@ idiots making these decisions?

So, the MT men's and women's teams are both playing at the same time?

That is stupid.

Or does the MT men and WKU men (and or women) play at the same time and you wanted to watch both?

Probably should have made it more clear: MT men and women are playing at overlapping times - WKU men and women are playing at overlapping times -

Personally I'm not interested in seeing WKU play - It's just that we both have rather large fan bases, are close to B-ham, and support both M & W. Why would the conference office not make reasonable (easily made) accommodations for both schools.

Hope if it comes to that they will make necessary adjustment, if not that is total bullshit. People put in a lot of money for that in addition to the ticket packages, travel, hotels, eating, ect and should have the opportunity to see both teams.

They make us choose now by having the teams play on the same days all through the season, why should the tourney be any different.

We are not the bell cows of CUSA.

Could be that given the history and tradition of C-USA that they have not had to worry about that kind of scheduling for exposure as the support was already there for most teams? I really don't know, just wondering.

I am one of the people who thinks it is ridiculous to NOT have MT vs WKU playing that tremendous rival twice in conference play.

I get that MT and WKU aren't necessarily the bell cows of C-USA, but the men's and women's games are usually great rivalry games in front of enthusiastic good sized crowds. Why not play that up for the good of the conference? Granted, programs such as ODU, UTEP, WKU, LaTech, and UAB all typically had pretty large crowds at just about all of their home games. Heck, Marshall and Charlotte had some big home crowds at times this year even though they have not been having that great of a season. Still, I hate to see a good rivalry not be taken advantage of.
