His last one already made him the highest paid safety in NFL history at the time. I can't imagine what a bigger one would look like.
Not to kick a dead horse, but if MT had any leadership in the marketing area they would be hyping this guy up as a MT alumni everywhere. He is the best NFL player we've ever had.
Remember a few years ago when we hosted the CUSA championship? Why didn't we ask any old MT players that went to the NFL to roam the sidelines for at least the first quarter to get some PR from it? Such an easy ask, especially with the Titans not too far away. Can't we get Byard on tv for 5 minutes for the publicity?
Have we retired his jersey or anything? Something to show we actually have a good player in the NFL. Byard is a stud!

yes, they should've hyped that up. Easily could've had Byrad, Both Griffin brothers, Marty Carter, Calico and Holcombe on the sidelines. Did they even hype that a former player was a coordinator for the TB Bucs last years superbowl team?
