WKU's won 3 straight bowl games, 3 of last 4 years have 9 win seasons, and is on their 6th year with their coaches - i have no idea why people chalked this up as a W.

I thought I heard on the radio that Western had around 50 new players, so having many new players doesn't sound like a good enough excuse to me.

Also, I never "chalked this up to a w". I just thought the game would be a little more competitive and that we woukd be able to get more than one stop the entire game, especially with a defensive minded coach.

What is the issue? I refuse to belive that the talent gap between us and Western is that big. If the excuse is that Stockstill left us with no talent, Mason signed 53 new players this year were they all terrible too?

Mason dominated Stockstill's spread offense when he was at Vanderbilt. Why is he struggling mighty right now?

Mason is a defensive guy. Is the issue is the defensive scheme? Why would he hire a terrible defense coordinator and why would he allow it to continue thus far?

Any chance he takes over defensive calling?

This is just crazy terrible defense. Tennessee Tech was bad and of course Ole Miss. If it doesn't improve I don't see a win on our schedule. Maybe Kennesaw State.

I'm 100% willing to give CDM time. But I at least expect to be competitive the first year even if we don't win. 0-28 vs a conference mate is not being competitive. When things get this bad, I'm not gonna watch.

All I've asked for is game to game improvement. In my mind the season started today so now it is time for that improvement. And there are lots of opportunities and places to get better at. So it pisses me off, but I know I also have to give it a chance.

They've gotten down the field through the air - a couple of bad reads and that weird pick shot themselves in the foot. The front 7 is holding its own vs the run game (not like WKU needs to run the ball as much as they're carving us up through the air).

The season is 12 games long. I expected us to open 1-4. The program is rebuilding - it is what it is.

There's 16 new coaches in the G5. Only 3 of them are undefeated. Things like this aren't fixed overnight.
