Has our fan base for the women’s team grown this year? Even before the win against Louisville, I’ve had a feeling that we have more eyes on this program this year. I’m really hoping that is the case because we need as much money and clout as possible to bring in some of these Top girls. I think it’s great having all state shooters come to our program but if we’re going to get into that top 20 we need at least a couple blue chip players
TN is one of the top 10-15 states when it's comes to producing Division I talent so signing all state "shooters" like Savannah Davis before UT can really talk to them is always gonna play.

Getting blue chip players isn't gonna happen here but getting players like Jada Harrison, 4 star types that get P4 interest, is doable. Our future depends on identifying the talent early and developing it, which CRI does well.

Personally, I only want transfers that are a scheme fit and help the team in a big way. Otherwise I'd rather trust the girls we got. I say that just as Hailey Van Lith entered the portal lol

In terms of average attendance, it grew from 3,559/game in '22-'23 to 3,954/game in '23-'24.

Which both seasons would be good enough to be Top-26 in the country compared to the latest NCAA record report (which they poll 2 years after-the-fact).

10% increase is pretty good when considering that no high profile opponents played here. Hoping for 4500-5000 next year. Maybe have a RuCo night like MT does for MCS, that's a pretty efficient way to promote the program and the school

Brent Stockstill takes analyst role at Ole Miss

That's my thought. I have zero bad things against him, or even his dad. I just think he should make his mark on his own.

Just like Matt. He never even worked under his dad until after Ole Miss moved on from him. It's why when he is hired as HC someday it should read "MT picks former SEC Head Coach to lead Women's program." He's learned and grown on his own under some great coaches at Kentucky and LaT.
Not MT related but his Sr year Siegel he played in the Semis against Maryville (at the height of their dynasty) on a torn acl and nearly won. That goes beyond tough, I want my program led by a guy who loves his team that much.

It sucks that however far you go, if your in the same profession as your dad, it's hard to escape that shadow, though I doubt Matt or Brent look at it that way.

I have the same opinion of RS the HC as most people on here, but the Stockstills are A+ people IMO who put their own money back into trying to make the University better

Genuinely happy for Brent. Didn't want to see him coach with his dad so he could make his mark elsewhere. Probably the toughest player or one of that I've seen. Hopefully he has the makings of a good HC and can make his way back to MT one day

BB RECRUITING HS and transfer reported interest list

Originally from Kentucky. Next year will be his sixth season removed from HS. Love the profile. Lipscomb's leading scorer last year and second leading scorer the year prior. 44% from 3 last year, 39% the year prior. 57% from 2 last year as well, pretty good for a 6'3 player. Might be a longshot if CoC and Samford are the frontrunners but he is exactly the kind of player MT could use.

Build Blue campaign

We’ve gone back 900k since August, I wonder why that is.

“SRM Concrete's donation pushed Build Blue past its $20-million private fundraising goal. The campaign now sits at more than $21.4 million thanks to gifts from 373 donors. Total funding for the Master Plan projects is now approaching $100 million.”

It may be confusion in old age, but I was thinking the numbers are constantly moving and hard to keep a handle on based on the various updates over the last couple of years.
