Middle Tennessee kicks off its non-conference schedule on the road at NKU Monday evening 5 pm. The Lady Norse will begin their season under 1st year coach Jeff Hans. Last year NKU finished the season 11-20, & are the preseason #7 pick in The Horizon Conference for 2024-25. Last December NKU met MT in Murfreesboro with the Lady Raiders winning comfortably 83-42 behind 34 points from senior Savannah Wheeler. With Wheeler's departure MT will be relying on seniors Boldyreva, & Gregory, along with the return of Courtney Blakely at point. The Lady Raiders also welcome back junior forward Ta'Mia Scott. In MT's 2 preseason games Scott has led the way for the Lady Raiders with 20 or more points scored in each outing.

I am glad someone brought up the S&C coach. We all know Insell would love to play 5 players 100% of the time. There have been great athletes on his teams and the last two years, they have come closest to running solid for 40 minutes. I don't know how good the two new coaches are, but the last one was great. I think MTFAN61's sliding prediction based on how well we utilize the bench is very much on point.

Very true on all counts, just as likely that MT has lost 5 games before we even get to conference play. Also will be interesting to see if MT is just as well conditioned at the end of games now that S&C coach has moved on

I think this year's record depends considerably on CRI's flexibility with player rotation, especially due to our non-conference schedule.
Even though we're very capable of back to back undefeated conference seasons it's a huge mental task.
If we can get an 8 player rotation installed I think a high goal of 27-4 is in play. If we stick to a 6-7 player rotation I think 23-8 or 24-7 are plausible.
