Good for him - Bad for MT - although I'm not so sure they aren't on an upward trajectory with or without a returning QB - As for the direction of the MT program . . . .
If this was MT applying for a 6th year of eligibility for a player, I think the NCAA would have denied him the eligibility, and put MT on probation for even applying for the extra year.
If it makes anyone feel better, their tight end is not coming back, but two of their receivers that put over 100 yards on us will return. I think one of them was a sophomore. I'd expect their D to be a little better. They were pretty young last year on the defensive side of the ball.
