    Why MT has decided not to release COVID-19 information for athletes


    ...a decision was made in March by MT as an institution to not release any individual numbers and cases.

    "We don’t want to segment our students, so it was an institutional decision made back in March to not release those numbers," MT athletics director Chris Massaro told the Daily News Journal. "This is subject to change and I don’t want to say that we’ll never do it, but that’s the institution's position right now."

    MT spokesman Andrew Oppmann said the school is working on putting out another policy.

    "Our senior administrators will have in place shortly a policy on the matter," Oppmann said. "We want to make sure that we give weight to our responsibilities for transparency to stakeholders and our legal obligations to students." .....

    Can't say that I'm a fan of the policy, transparency would go a long way.
