Last year, Middle Tennessee lost the series to UTSA, in Murfreesboro, and the two losses in that series were not competitive.

What are your thoughts on the team so far?

Nice rebound after a rough stretch to take 2 of 3 on the road.

My early thoughts on the team are that the pitching is much much better than last year. Bats are hot and cold, though, which is somewhat expected as the optimal lineups continue to mold and form themselves. They did NOT do themselves any favors with their OOC slate for sure, but I think those tough games will pay dividends down the stretch, especially since they were mostly competitive throughout.

They're learning how to win. I think they can be pretty dangerous.

CUSA baseball continues to have some top notch teams though.
