nearing 50 years at his post... Dean Hayes. There is a reason why his name is on the stadium, whether it's triple jumps, 100 meters, javelin, he develops winners and champions. And he also coached the only MT athlete to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. Track and Field is doing pretty good at MT.

I think this is the first track championship since Marty Scales won the NCAA Men's 100 meter sprint title in 2003.
