Blackman's Chad Hibdon resigns to take college position

MURFREESBORO - Two-time state championship girls basketball Chad Hibdon has resigned at Blackman High to accept a head coach position at Truett-McConnell an NAIA college in Cleveland, Georgia.

Hibdon, who was the USA TODAY national girls basketball coach of the year in 2014, led the Lady Blaze to Class AAA state championships in 2014 and 2015. His 2014 Blackman girls basketball team was named national champions by USA TODAY, MaxPreps and ESPN.

Hibdon spent 10 seasons at Blackman High, going 66-3 over the past two years.

Truett-McConnell went 6-22 this past season.

I'm very interested to see how he does at a losing NAIA program. If he has the same success there that he has had at Blackman then bring him to MT!
