great read at Coaching Search http://coachingsearch.com/article?a...see-State-offensive-coordinator-Tony-Franklin
You are exactly right. Franklin's system is MOST effective when their is total buy-in by the coaching staff. Everyone (HC down to the GA's) has to be ready to coach the techniques as TF demands itWell, year 1 of him here in 09 did wonders for us. The thing that makes this attractive to him is that we have the components and already run the spread based off of his basic system. The transition will be much faster for him here as it was in 09.
What he does is pretty simple and it pisses the other coaches off. He takes over the whole offense. He works with QB's, WR's and RB's. He takes control and wants total control. The thing is.... Our QB/OC and WR coaches left so this opens the window for him to do what he wants more. He's a little crazy as I have said repeatedly on here but when he gets his hooks in deep, he takes it to another level.
Stock and him talked about this for a while. I don't care what anyone says. This was in the works way before last week. This just didn't happen. Stock probably asked him what he wanted and perched the ground to give it to him. The setup is too perfect for him to come in make an instant impact. Stock did this before with him and knew the setup. He had a plan as soon as Kodi left.
