Sun Belt Conference

they'll up with football games on each weeknight, I'm betting...

As much as the locals might hate this, playing week night games are HUGE for exposure. With wagering on sports becoming more and more popular as well, week night games will continue to be a big hit.

Great move by the Belt, regardless of which day they're playing on. I'm extremely jealous.

Sky is falling! Run hide! Typical glum and doom. Gald to be out of the suckbelt no matter what they “announce” and you are too. #bowlwin #rpi

I'm neither jealous or envious of the SunBelt. I do have a problem with the poor leadership at the C-USA HQ though. The poor leadership is killing us. It is really setting back the conference in progress and finances.

If I'm not mistaken, this summer is the time to renew media rights contracts. I have little to no confidence in the C-USA commish to handle it in an advantageous manner.

The conference's poor leadership is also hurting MT basketball. Right at the time when MT is enjoying incredible success, conference broadcast rights has MT games hidden away in obscure places instead of on national cable networks. It's been ridiculous. A Top 25 team playing good conf competition i.e. WKU, UAB, Marshall, ODU in front of huge and sellout crowds broadcast on facebook while ovc teams around .500 playing in front of 700 spectators are getting two national broadcasts on the same night. Absolutely ridiculous. MT has really needed those eyeballs from around the country for AP voters. At least last night was finally on CBS Sports Network!
