Yeah Upton had some good plays. There was a guy named Walker (?) I believe he was #2 on defense in the secondary that looked good too. Minter has improved too.

Urzua has a nice arm on him.

I ended up going. Offense isn't really much different yet. Fall camp will be when stuff really gets installed.

Kimbrow and Mathers are beasts. Folks, we have an SEC backfield. Wow. Garnett and Andseron looked good too. Upton, Frazier and Tuck. Pettis is gonna be a weapon this year.

When Reggie Henderson gets to camp, he's getting a shot to play right away. That's all I know. James, Pettis, Upton and Henderson will be beasts. Ricky Blair needs to beef up but could be a good player too.

Upton was the most intriguing prospect of his class in my eyes and I've been waiting for him to show what he can do. He was well on his way to power 5 offers until getting injured. We got an absolute steal with him and it's going to pay off. He should shine in the Tony Franklin system. At this point he just needs reps so he can better learn the system and show our coaches he belongs on the field. I could easily see him having a Richie James type-year if the coaches give him the opportunity.

On another note, I really don't understand their statements regarding a lack of quality WR's. They say they want 6-8 quality WR's. Without including this years class we have Shane Tucker, Joc Bruce, Richie James, Terry Pettis, Isiah Upton, Demetrius Frazier, and I think Ty Clemons can contribute. If you include our recruiting class, we had Reginald Henderson who can probably play right away and we signed two JUCO WR's who SHOULD be able to contribute (or you shouldn't have signed them)....Ricky Blair & Jermel Walker. CJ Windham could even possibly contribute as he looked pretty polished in his high school film.

So I just don't get the gripe about lack of quality WR's. According to GoBlueRaiders.com we have 13 WR's on scholarship + the ones we signed this year (5 more)....So that's 18 WR's on scholarship. That's a really, really high number.
