Since it’s for the fans, why don’t they just have an event anyway. Food trucks, video, of the new upgrades...I would like a reason to go just to be a fan.

Like, someone suggested a while back in another thread. Work it to go with Wing Fling deal like they did years back, that was a great event that added a some flavor to a rather bland spring football event.

My guess is that they are afraid that if too many fans show up, they'll lose that game too.
