Now we need some Ready-to-Play DUDES!!!And with that the 2025 high school recruiting class should be done!!
Don't expect Smith to be a part of this class. Didn't have a great senior yr imoThis is a good class. When the stars of this class break out we must find a way to keep them. End of story. We cannot accept being a glorified JUCO.
Only a few signings that seem questionable to me. Potential stars imo will be Micah Smith, Ben Hubbard, Kyle Larkin, Otto V Rensberg, Locke Kennedy, Stanley Anderson-Lofton, and obviously Dominic Taylor.
Wilson Hodges film reminds me a bit of Holden Willis, guarantee staff wanting a 2.0 of Mr. Willis and were thinking the same watching his film.
There's a mountain of potential with Archie Roseman but he can also just as easily eat himself out of a position, he's already pushing it. Needs to be disciplined and get in that college weight program. He could be really good for us though.
is Anthony Smith signing ? DL looks pretty light with this class. Only see one DE signed and he's massively undersized will need at least a year in the weight room. With the portal defections and lack of DE's they must be planning to storm the portal for DE talent. We are putrid at the position and desperate for help there. We literally need to add 3-4 good DE's to this roster....
100% same on D. Certain qualities are absolutely talent. But how to properly wrap up a tackle and proper approach angle are learned skills. Apparently some guys forgot from Pee-Wee. My 8yr old was taught when he played so you can't tell me they weren't either. Everyone tries to be like Roy Williams was and just hit hard. Doesn't do any good if the runner stays on their feet. Can our staff teach them how to run a friggin counter and use a pulling guard? You can recruit whoever but if they aren't blocking worth a crap then it's being allowed and not coached. Anyone can block if they are taught properly. Same on D.

Can someone explain the hype on Locke Kennedy? MTSU is his only FBS offer according to 247Sports (I think). It is very possible I am missing something, but if someone could explain that'd be great.
Bo Bryan (6'5) and Otto Van Rensburg (6'4) are big guards that should be able to pull. Very athletic and powerful who are good at getting to the second level in run blocking. I think the young OL have come along fine. Zach Clayton had a strong second half as a freshman tackle. Alex Gale is a guard that was hurt but has a lot of fans inside the program. Think he came back and got in some against FIUCan our staff teach them how to run a friggin counter and use a pulling guard? Just flipped a RB from Austin Peay in Brooklen Davis and added a long snapper as well. 2 high quality walk-ons. Both in-stateThat’s what, 10 Tennessee boyz.
He didn't get offers because he had injuries and he didn't have the great coaching staff he had this season. Size is legit. I do expect him to play right away so I agree thereWatch his film. Pay close attention to how well he moves his hips, fluidity, and ability to change direction with ease. He is an instinctual player and looks like a fish in water out there. At safety he diagnoses run/pass almost immediately and either comes flying down to make the play or drops into coverage. He could play WR for us too.
I absolutely love his film but highlight tapes can be admittedly deceiving because you only see the good stuff. I do think he is a steal in this class. Only reason he didn't get a bunch of offers is his size. 6'3" 195 pounds looks rather generous. He's more likely closer to 6'1" and 180 pounds. He also lacks elite speed but he has plenty to play safety. He's going to be a great player for us and could see the field next year.
