UL hosts the women's NCAA 2nd round the same day. Smart move by them - let the NIT / NCAA tournament games be on the same day to drive up attendance for the NIT game. They drew 10,000+ for their last 2 womens' home games and just under 10,000 for the NIT game.

Nope. It actually opened at +6.5 at the Heritage and was immediately bet down.

Vegas has always given MT the respect they deserve. Louisville is no juggernaut and I suspect the +5 will get bet down to around 4.

Also of note, I guarantee MT would have been favored against all the bubble Power 5 tournament teams that got in. Maybe a pick'em against Syracuse because of the match-up problem with their zone, but against Arizona State, Oklahoma, and UCLA.

...Round two of the NIT college basketball tournament pits the MTSU blue Raiders against the Louisville Cardinals.

The MTSU Blue Raiders put their conference playoffs behind them and looked angry in dismantling the Vermont Catamounts 91-64 in an NIT opener. Vermont shot the ball well at 45.8% but MTSU burned the nets at 63.3% including a 10-21 effort from beyond the arc.

Giddy Potts led all scorers with 25 points on 9-16 including 6-11 on long balls followed by Nick King with 16 points and 12 rebounds on 7-11. Brandon Walters gave the Blue Raiders 15 points and six boards while Antwain Johnson netted 14 points on 6-7.

The Louisville Cardinals overcame a 23 point first half to upend the Northern Kentucky Norse 66-58 in an NIT first round bout. Louisville struggled to 40% shooting but their defense limited the Norse to only 34.4% accuracy.

Deng Adel kept the Cardinals head’s above water with 20 points and four yanks on 7-12 and 5-6 at the stripe followed by a ten point effort from Ryan McMahon on 4-5. Louisville saw Quentin Snider toss in nines points with Ray Spalding adding seven points and 13 rebounds.

Under is 7-2 in MTSU last 9 road games and MTSU are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 Sunday games and under is 20-8-2 in MTSU last 30 Sunday games. Louisville are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. Conference USA and over is 4-1 in Cardinals last 5 vs. Conference USA.....

Refs arn't doing us any favors with ticky tacky BS calls and a TERRIBLE offensive foul call on King which totally F'd us.

ACC refs for sure, but we wouldn't win with fair refs either the way we are playing. Sad.
