Blue Raiders host Blazers in conference play

excerpt:

...Any fan of the Alabama-Birmingham Blazers knows this is not the same team from year's past and their 4-9 record says as much. The Blazers have been outscored 72-66 and need an obvious boost at both ends of the floor to turn things around. UAB has lost three in a row following an 89-58 defeat at North Carolina where the Tar Heels forged a 21 point lead after 20 minutes and were never in danger. UNC sank half their looks while the Blazers were held to 30.5% and killed themselves with a 3-25 mark from beyond the arc. CJ Washington led the Alabama-Birmingham offense with 12 points and seven pulls on 3-13 while Robert Brown and Chris Cokely combined for 21 points with Cokley posting five yanks.

What I said about UAB not being the same team as in year's past applies to the Middle Tennessee because this isn't the same team either. The Blue Raiders just cant their offense going and when you get outscored 60-59 then winning consistently is a tall order. The Blue Raiders took one on the chin in a 64-48 defeat at Auburn on Monday. Auburn found themselves up eleven heading to the locker room and never challenged. The Tigers burned the nets at 51% and MTSU never was able to close the gap on 40.5% marksmanship. JaQuel Richmond led the Blue Raiders with eleven points on 4-8 from the floor while Jaqawn Raymond added ten points on 4-6 with three others scoring between 6-7 points.

The Blazers are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 vs. Conference USA and 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games following a ATS loss. UAB are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Blue Raiders are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring less than 50 points in their previous game and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. MTSU are 20-5-1 ATS in their last 26 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss....

Men have been outscored by 13 points the last 7 minutes or so.

Davis really stresses "toughness"

I assume that means both physical and mental - Many of our players don't have either -

Tough to watch this team right now. They're still lost on offense, which is pretty dumbfounding given the amount of minutes that have been played to this point.
