Would most of you consider and accept it as a moral victory if CDM can keep WKU’s margin of victory under 10? Let’s face it, this isn’t your run of the mill Hundred Miles of Hate weekend. Stansbury can flat out coach and, he’s got some guys who can play at the next level.

We can agree that Stansbury is a pretty good accumulator of talent, with absolutely incredibility to 'attract' highly touted basketball prospects, but I am not sure he's all that great a coach. With all the talent needed to win the CUSA, since he was hired in 2016, he has not sniffed the NCAA. He is 2-0 against our current coaching staff, and the likelihood he will be 4-0 at the end of the weekend, but doesn't mean a whole lot and does nothing to change my view. Good recruiter. Coach? Not so much.

If Stansbury doesn't get the toppers to the NCAA THIS March, that will mark FIVE seasons Stansbury has over promised/under delivered. WKU hasn't been to the NCAA since 2013. I'm sure that does not set well with wku PTB who aren't as accepting of mediocrity as those folks in Murphy Center and Cope.

With Sims out with an injury, with only 1 minute from Jordan because of the injury suffered early, with Shuler limited in the first half due to foul trouble, and considering we were playing what is probably the best team we will see all season I'm not too disappointed. It will be interesting to see if we can continue the trend of playing better in the 2nd game of these back-to-back series.

Did anyone catch a reason for Jackson's absence from the game? Coaches' decision? (as they say in the NBA)

poor shot selection, terrible passing (Dishman, who the hell were you passing to on those occasions)

Sims out for an unspecified period, sounds like for weeks, and Jalen Jordan out for at least a couple of weekends, so your two starting guards out for the second game straight against wku (not good timing for injuries) and who the hell knows about Jackson.

hard to listen to the CBSSN announcers, just terrible. Completely ignorant of anything about MT when they mention anything about the Raiders. When Jordan Davis hit a shot, one of the announcers referred to Jalen Jordan's injury confusing the two. Dumb ass.

Another complaint about the announcers: Did something happen to Charles Bassey? It's been over 30 seconds since they mentioned his name.

68-52

FINAL

cut it down to three and four a couple of times, but turnovers, poor shots, and defensive breakdowns and some good offense by wky too much to overcome.

Even if Sims and Jordan had been available to play all 40 minutes of each game, don't think it would have made much difference. It's not like the offense has been better with them than without.

Still way too frustrating. Offense is horrible. I have no idea what CNM is coaching on offense.

Adding to the frustration is that it appears to me that he has done a decent job of recruiting. He has more than enough players with good ability and even more potential. Their effort is up this year with reasonably improved effort on defense, but they are lost on offense. It is painful to watch.

The team's performance is right up to Massaro's standards. So get used to it.
