...The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders visit Apogee Stadium in Denton, Texas on Saturday to play the North Texas Mean Green. The Blue Raiders fell to 2-4 after losing to Florida Atlantic on Saturday 28-13 in a Conference-USA showdown. Middle Tennessee scored first with an Asher O’Hara 30-yard touchdown pass and went ahead 13-12 in the second quarter on an O’Hara touchdown run, but would not score again.

Asher O’Hara leads Middle Tennessee with 1,491 yards passing, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. O’Hara is the leading rusher for the Blue Raiders with 368 yards and three touchdowns, while Chaton Mobley has rushed for 164 yards and three TDs. Jarrin Pierce is the leading receiver with 327 yards and two touchdowns. Reed Blankenship leads all tacklers for Middle Tennessee with 52.

North Texas fell to 2-4 on the season following its 45-27 loss to Southern Mississippi. The North Texas defense gave up 563 total yards of offense to Southern Miss. North Texas trailed at the half 28-20, but was held to 114 yards of offense after halftime. Mason Fine threw for 217 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the loss. Jaelon Darden caught all three TD passes.

Mason Fine leads North Texas with 1,508 yards passing, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. The leading rusher is Tre Siggers with 502 yards and four touchdowns. Jaelon Darden leads the Mean Green in receiving with 350 yards and six touchdowns. The leading tackler for North Texas is KD Davis with 54.

Middle Tennessee is 1-4 ATS in its last 5. The OVER has cashed in 5 of the Blue Raiders last 7 on the road.

...The one big question everyone wants answered when it comes to UNT is if quarterback Mason Fine and running back Tre Siggers are healthy -- or anywhere close to it -- after they were knocked out of the Mean Green's loss to Southern Miss on Saturday.

Fine injured his left shoulder, while Siggers suffered an ankle injury.

UNT officials said late Monday afternoon they didn't have an update on the status of either player.

The school has a playbook for situations like this. The latest example came earlier this season when UNT didn't acknowledge that wide receiver Rico Bussey Jr. was out for the year with a knee injury until just before its game against UTSA.

The same scenario played out in previous years for quarterback Derek Thompson and Jeffery Wilson.

UNT coach Seth Littrell will hold his weekly press conference tomorrow, where the status of Fine and Siggers will be the first question asked.

He might offer up and answer. He might not.

What is of little doubt is that UNT won't be the same team if Siggers and Fine miss significant time.....

Full go ain't 100%. If he gets popped hard, he could get hurt worse. His range of motion will be effected and if contact is made on his weak side when the ball is being released, that ball is getting picked.

Not if we make contact. His line is not as good as FAU's. Not even close. You use a full range of motion when you throw and in footall, you use the other arm to aim and to protect the pass. If he's injured, the motion is off and he won't be able to extend that arm enough to fend off tacklers. It might make a difference for us or it may not but an injury is an injury.

DENTON – A boil water notice issued by the City of Denton Thursday night has forced North Texas Athletics to move its Hall of Fame induction ceremony Friday to the University Union. The Mean Green Soccer match vs. Western Kentucky scheduled for Friday is still scheduled to be played at the Soccer and Track and Field Stadium at 7 p.m. The impact for Saturday's home football game vs. Middle Tennessee at Apogee Stadium, will not be known until late Friday afternoon when tests regarding the safety to drink the water are known.

The Boil Water Notice was issued after University of North Texas staff notified the City of Denton of an unauthorized cross-connection between a stormwater pond and the City's public water distribution system on the UNT campus near Apogee Stadium at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The area affected is mainly south of IH35 and does not affect most of the UNT campus......
