There will be a good crowd to watch the parade, go to the Alumni tailgate lunch, tailgate in the Grove and in Greenland, but to actually go into the game and watch? Won't be a lot. Hard to get excited about a maybe 6-win team missing its' stars.

Attendance predictions?

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders - 28
Florida International University Golden Panthers - 16

We will play sound on defense and Urzua will finally have a turnover free game. Still no running game, but the offense will be good enough and we will be on the plus side of the turnover battle (we will force +2).

Attendance (announced): 17,753
(actual) 14,312

FIU is bad, must win-bounce-back game for Middle, betters love us at home, etc.

We can still very easily lose this. We are a bad team too.

excerpt:

...The FIU Golden Panthers will travel to Floyd Stadium to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders this Saturday afternoon in College Football action.

The FIU Golden Panthers won their 3rd straight game and improved to 3-1 (2-0 C-USA East) on the season after defeating the Charlotte 49ers, 30-29, this past Saturday. FIU went into halftime trailing by a 26-14 margin however, scored 16 unanswered points in the 2nd half to secure the come from behind victory. FIU was outgained Charlotte by a 504-475 margin and lost the turnover battle by a 1-0 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Panthers was WR Thomas Owens who had 7 receptions for 101 yards and a TD. On the season, FIU is averaging 19.3 ppg on 386.5 total yards per game (235.5 passing yds/g, 151.0 rushing yds/g). Offensively, the Golden Panthers have been led by QB Alex McGough who has completed 60.3% of his passes for 3 TD and 3 INT while averaging 226.8 passing yds/g. The leading receivers for McGough and FIU have been Thomas Owens (4.0 rec/g, 75.0 yds/g, 2 TD), Julian Williams (4.0 rec/g, 62.3 yds/g, TD) and Tony Gaiter IV (3.0 rec/g, 33.5 yds/g). The FIU backfield has been led by Alex Gardner who had a TD on the season while averaging 66.0 rushing yds/g on 15.5 att/g. Defensively, FIU is holding their opponents to an average of 26.8 ppg on 402.0 total yards per game (233.3 passing yds/g, 168.8 rushing yds/g). FIU has committed 7 turnovers on the season and have an overall turnover margin of -4.

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders dropped to 2-3 (0-1 C-USA East) on the season after being defeated by the FAU Owls, 38-20, this past Saturday. Middle Tennessee, who were missing their top two offensive players in Brent Stockstill and Richie James, couldn’t fight back after they went into halftime trailing by a 24-6 margin. Middle Tennessee outgained FAU by a 454-439 margin however, lost the turnover battle by a 3-0 margin. Leading the way for the Blue Raiders was QB John Urzua who completed 31 of 51 passes for 359 yards, 2 TD, and 3 INT. On the season, Middle Tennessee is averaging 16.6 ppg on 359.0 total yards per game (258.8 passing yds/g, 100.2 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Middle Tennessee has been led by the WR duo of Ty Lee (5.6 rec/g, 65.4 yds/g, 3 TD) and Richie James (6.3 rec/g, 68.7 yds/g, 2 TD). QB John Urzua (63.2 comp %, 4 TD, 6 INT, 261.3 yds/g) has done a decent job filling in for Brent Stockstill who has missed his last 3 games and is doubtful for Sunday. The Blue Raiders backfield has been led by Brad Anderson (8.8 att/g, 43.5 yds/g) and Jocquez Bruce (4.8 att/g, 30.5 yds/g, TD). Defensively, Middle Tennessee is holding their opponents to an average of 27.2 ppg on 348.2 total yards per game (214.0 passing yds/g, 134.2 rushing yds/g). Middle Tennessee has forced only two turnovers on the season and has an overall turnover margin of -10.

The Golden Panthers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games however, just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Blue Raiders are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss.

FIU has some decent experience on their team however, the Golden Panthers are certainly in rebuilding mode and I don’t take much worth in their recent victories against Rice and Charlotte. Middle Tennessee has been really hurt by injuries this season, which has really hurt the offensive production of the Blue Raiders, however, Middle Tennessee must be encouraged with the recent play of John Urzua. Even without Brent Stockstill, the Blue Raiders are the better team here.....

Only prediction I am going to make is a piss poor crowd, but I am making Chili today, and when I make Chili my favorite sports teams tend to perform well.

So maddening that we couldn't give this type of performance @ FAU.

Curious of attendance. It looks pretty sad on tv. They should give away tickets at this point for tv games

No matter what you think about CRS, the Shafer hire was on another level. We we're garbage last year but the one year turnaround is nothing less than phenomenal.

Doesn't matter how good our defense is if we can't win a CUSA title (or at least get to the CUSA championship game)

This fan base is tiresome. A bunch of whiners. I think I’m gonna check out for a while. Good luck

The Grove was littered with trash after the game. Does it look that way after every game? I have not noticed it before.
