I am liking this ERA. Seems as though our pitching is pretty legit. Have not watched but a couple of games, but I like what I see.

I think the biggest issue I had with McGuire, and Peterson, for that matter, especially in his last few years, was letting his pitchers get in deep trouble loading the bases, etc. and not making a change on the mound until the damage was already done. There have been plenty of times that before Toman that I used to sit in the stands cussing non-stop under my breath wondering why the hell a change wasn't being made when it was apparent the pitcher was digging a hole for himself and the team. Toman (and Bunn) seems to have far less patience and much more understanding of what's going on with the pitchers.
