Kermit was on 560 this morning

With Greg Pogue. Tuned in about 8:15 and Kermit was the only guest for the hour. They talked about his background as a coach's son, and as the youngest college (juco) coach at 24 and the youngest D1 coach at 28. Talked about his hiring at MT. Talked about schedule, vcu, auburn, Belmont, Murray State, tournament. Talked some about Shawn Jones, signing with Washington Wizards, but Kermit thinks if he doesn't stick there, he's poised to really make some good money overseas.

I think Shawn should stick it out in the D-League for now IF he doesn't crack the roster. Once you go overseas, even though the money is exponentially better in most cases, it's very hard to make your way back and get to the NBA. He's absolutely got the talent to make it, he just might need to be a bit more patient. Washington will be a good situation for him though. Surely Drew Gooden is retiring soon. Surely!?
