IIRC, he wanted the job here when Bruce Stewart was hired. Always wondered what would have been if he had been hired instead. Would he have had the success Bruce had, or more importantly avoided getting crossways with the NCAA.

Your thoughts mirror mine - He just might have been a successful long-time coach at MT.
I saw him make mince-meat out of a very talented Giles Co. squad in the sub-state while at Bellevue. A very good high school and JUCO coach and he proved at Aquinas he could recruit.
You never know what might have been when you had the option to go down a different road.
