College athletes FAR outpace the general student body when it comes to graduating. All this pressure on athletes to graduate is a load of crap. As long as they are averaging around a universities general graduation rate then it shouldn't matter.

It's a good question. I believe APR triggers something ridiculous like a 100K bonus (as opposed to a Conference Championship bonus, IIRC, was reported to be just a fraction of that), - not quite sure GSR is tied to a bonus.

MTSU's graduation rate is 41.5%. I don't think that is where we want our student athletes to be since we are paying for their education.

I would agree it’s not ideal but don’t we live in times of “equality” LOL. How is it fair that we hold athletes to higher standards ? We need equality, man.

I notice Marshall is 3rd in football while being undefeated & ranked.

It seems a program can have scholar-athletes, be regulatory compliant AND win. These are not mutually exclusive.
