FIU played them pretty tough although the score doesnt show it. SC got hot at the 3 pt shots but it looks like FIU is tougher this year. Also.... Belmont lost to Lipscomb. Didnt see that coming...

One has to wonder if that last second buzzer beater loss up at Providence the other night didn't have some sort of hangover effect. Lipscomb is not usually a team Belmont struggles with in recent years.
Speaking of Providence, did others see that game. That ending was crazy. Belmont was celebrating when they hit a big shot to take the lead with just a few seconds left in the game. Then Providence hit a desperation shot at the buzzer. It was shock and awe look on the Belmont team after celebrating just seconds earlier.
Then to top it off, the Providence HC was entertaining in the postgame TV interview. He was glad they won but said his team did not play well enough to deserve to win. He was highly complimentary of coach Byrd. He went on to say something to the effect, I don't know who Belmont will be playing this season, but God bless them. I don't ever want to play Belmont again!
