It is clear that this staff has a different approach to recruiting than that to which we have become accustomed. It appears offers are not handed out willy-nilly and are not made unless McDevitt believes we have a shot at the player since there have been no offers publicly acknowledged that I have seen for '19 until today.
As of this morning Verbal Commits has offers out to a 6'7" SF and a 6'9" PF, each of whom have a respectable offer list this early in the process. Of note, as with all three of last season's signees, each has one or more offers from P-5 schools.
I have hope!

Anthony Walker got his offer yesterday. He's a top 150 player. If anything it looks like McDevitt and staff are attacking the same caliber of player that Kermit and company were going after in recent years. Definite good sign.

In fairness to CNM, he has repeatedly stated from the beginning that in recruiting his focus is on developing quality of relationship. As such, his recruiting style lends itself to taking some time to get established. All of these sudden short term needs does not appear to be a strong match for CNM's recruiting style. Hence the bumpy road in trying to fill out a roster with limited time. Then again, most any coach would have difficulty trying to fill so many holes in such a short time this late in the offseason. Given a few years, CNM could very well be establishing a system that could pay huge dividends each year with high quality recruits.
